Ledgability Ltd is a Taunton based bookkeeping service with over 100 years of combined experience. Family-run, friendly and keen to support all businesses with their accounting and bookkeeping Ledgability has the knowledge, experience and tool to take good care of your incoming and outcoming finances. Offering many different trusted services from account management to tax returns they are a wise investment for any business.
Ledgability approached Developyn because their current website was not cutting it, therefore they wanted something more up to date and responsive. After some back and forth, a WordPress website was decided upon. This is due to Ledgability wanting to be able to make updates to their services, portfolio and team members profiles as and when they needed to.
Professional design with an easy and informative interface
Requesting the website to be built with WordPress is an unusual request for us as we mostly focus on builds from scratch, creating SPAs with HTML, CSS and Javascript. However, we still have a large background in WordPress and confidence we could deliver the quality they needed. After all, we can’t call ourselves web developers if we cannot build your website on any platform!
Communication with Ledgability Ltd was clear and precise, they knew what they wanted but were also willing to give us creative control. We gave them a selection of different themes to choose from. We also took bets on which theme they would pick (Melvyn won). Although the WordPress theme set some decent groundwork in regards to the design, we pride ourselves on making bespoke web developers and took it upon ourselves to chop and change areas of the theme to fit the flow of the site using custom-built CSS.
We set out with the following goals in mind:
- Appealing and inviting homepage: Made with eye-catching images of their office, hometown and information that explains how they can provide value to any business.
- Easy to navigate testimonial carousel: Due to the many years of success in the bookkeeping industry Ledgability had many reviews they wished to display upon the website.
- Sleek and informative Services page: With Ledgability's services being such a key factor of their website we needed to make sure these services were highlighted and easy to understand.
- Strong about us section: Ledgability being a family run business wanted their future clientele to put faces to the name across the whole team.
- Custom-built in WordPress: Designed in WordPress from a customised theme so the user can make changes to the design/ information of the website when needed.

Ledgability's WordPress website was released 28th July 2020 and had a warm welcome on social media when we announced the release (hearts and care emojis at the ready). After a few weeks of the website’s release, Ledgability has already added new information to their website like adding a new team member to their About Us page.
We are pleased we met Ledgability's expectations and made them a website they can implement changes to overtime. We are always willing to listen to our client’s requests and make adjustments where needed for the best results.
